Elective Dermal Filler Dissolving

Hyaluronidase

Dissolving dermal fillers has become a very common procedure in recent years. This may be because of excessive applications, or gradually turning uneven, or if a client has decided against it and wishes to reverse the effects. Sometimes over time migration of the product can occur.

This type of dissolving is called elective dissolving. To receive this treatment you must book in with a practice where Hyaluronidase can be prescribed. A patch test is carried out where a small amount of Hyaluronidase is injected just under the skin usually in the arm area to make sure there are no adverse reactions.

The Hyaluronidase is then injected into the area where the filler that’s needs dissolving is found. The Hyaluronidase starts to work straight away breaking down the enzymes of the dermal filler. The original structure and contours of the affected area take shape to their formal self.
